No Bag Policy (Updated Summer 2022)

PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor athletic events at the middle school level. This is in alignment with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor athletic events at all middle schools on Monday, January 10, 2022. Our school will have a plan in place to secure any student bookbags as needed during athletic events. We will not be responsible for securing bags from any attendees who are not students at our school. Signage will be posted to remind attendees prior to arriving at the ticket area. Athletic Tryout Registration

It's that time of year again! We are excited to have your student interested in participating in athletics for the 2025-2026 school year.

Parents/Guardians of student-athletes intending to participate in athletics MUST upload their students’ most recent physical to ensure eligibility for participation. We have simplified this process through online digital registration.

Please follow these steps:

1. Complete your registration: · Select the "Lake Ridge Middle School Athletic Participation 2025-2026" *Do NOT select "I want to create a NEW organization"*

2. Activate your Arbiter Registration account using the activation link that will be automatically sent to your email. (Note: this email may go into your junk folder)

3. It will ask you to locate “Lake Ridge Middle School” in “Virginia” before allowing you to complete the Concussion Training, Upload Documents, Heat Illness, and other trainings.

4. Complete all necessary training and upload ALL 6 Pages of your 2025-2026 Athletic Physical directly to your Arbiter Account to be reviewed by our Athletic Trainer and Central Office, all Physicals are approved/denied by the Athletic Trainer and Central Office, school staff is unable to make final determination on eligibility.

5. If there are any errors or corrections that need to be made, resubmit the updated information for review. 

 Once you have completed your registration, you will receive an email notification confirming we have received your registration.

Our athletic registration is open, which will allow you to select the sports you wish to participate in for the 2025-2026 school year. Once athletic registration is open, you may register for sports by visiting the Lake Ridge Middle School Registration Site.
