Wolf Weekly Newsletter

October 30, 2022

Hello Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians –  Just a reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow, October 31, 2022.

TOUCH BASE

Lake Ridge Middle will hold informal Touch Base conferences on Monday, October 31st from 9:00 am -11:30 am. Each parent/guardian will have 3-5 minutes to speak with each of their students' teachers. This is a great time to ask about your student's overall work and behavior habits in a class. You will be able to schedule a more formal conference during this time. I must emphasize that we cannot dedicate significant time to any individual student/family. These conferences are first come first served, there is no sign-up sheet. We hope to see you there!

If you need help with your ParentVue account or have any questions or concerns about attendance, please stop by the front office before/after Touch Base and we can assist you.

Our online Spirit Wear store is now open.

Please visit https://bsnteamsports.com/shop/Tm6kYu1HMr to order.  The store will remain open until October 31st.  A flyer is also attached.

FOOD DRIVE

With the fall season now here, that means Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The ACTS Hunger Prevention Center is seeking our help in donating food items to ensure every family has a meal to share on this special holiday.  They rely heavily upon donations to make it happen.  Last year, donations to ACTS provided the fixings for over 1000 families to prepare Thanksgiving meals.  They are anticipating that number, or more, again this year.

Please see the attached flyer for information about needed items.  We will have a box at the school inside Door 1 or items can be dropped off at the ACTS Hunger Prevention Center located at 17958 Dr. David Cline Lane in Dumfries.

6th GRADE TESTING

On Tuesday, November 1st, all 6th grade students will be taking the NNAT 3 (Naglieri) Test through their Science classes.  Please see the attached letter from the Supervisor of Testing, Dr. Parker, for further explanation.
