WOLF WEEKLY
October 25, 2026

Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

STUDENT PICKUP OFF CAMPUS
Parents, please do not use St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church’s parking lot to pick up your students in the afternoon.  It is causing some conflict  with their preschool’s afternoon carline pickups and other daytime activities/events, including funerals.  Please use the car rider line, here at the school, to pick up your students.

NO BLANKETS
To help maintain a focused and appropriate learning environment, students should not bring blankets to school. We understand that blankets can be cozy and comfortable, but they can become a distraction during the school day. Thank you for your support in helping us keep classrooms comfortable, safe, and ready for learning!

SPIRIT WEEK
Red Ribbon Week is an annual alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence prevention campaign observed in October in the United States. It began as a tribute to DEA special agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, who was murdered in 1985, and is now the nation's largest and longest-running drug awareness program.  Throughout Red Ribbon Week we will offer different activities that will be available for students as well as staff to participate in.

  • Monday: Sleepy Hollow Day – Wear your favorite spooky or comfy pajamas
  • Tuesday: Dynamic Duo – Dress up with a friend as a famous pair, matching characters, or a spooky duo
  • Wednesday: Sock it to Drugs: For Red Ribbon Week, wear RED and break out your wildest, wackiest or spooky socks to say BOO to drugs
  • Thursday: Show your grade-level pride by wearing your designated color!
    • 6th – Orange, 7th – Black,    8th – Green,    Staff – Purple
  • Friday: Character Friday – Wrap up Spirit Week in your best character or costume attire. All costumes must follow the Student Code of Behavior – no masks, facepaint, weapons, blood, etc.

TOUCHBASE EVENT
We will be hosting a Touchbase event on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 8:30-10:30 a.m.  The event gives you an opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher(s).  You will get to spend about 3-5 minutes with each teacher, but it is not designed to be a parent/teacher conference.  There is no need to signup and parents will be seen on a first come first served basis.

TRAVEL TO ITALY
One summer, a thousand stories, travel to Italy in 2028!!!

Eat authentic Italian pizza, pasta, and gelato. Bike through the hills of Tuscany. Train like a gladiator in Rome before touring the Colosseum. Stand on the battlefields of Anzio and Monte Cassino. Explore Pompeii, hike Mt. Vesuvius, cruise around Capri, and experience some of the most incredible art, beaches, ruins, and cities in the world with your friends and family.

From Florence to Rome to Sorrento to Capri, this isn't just a trip to Italy.

It's an adventure 2,000 years and one World War in the making.

  • Register for the "2026-2027 Athletic Season" through Arbiter - must register every school year and complete the necessary trainings through Arbiter. There is no separate website or quiz; it is all in Arbiter.
  • Have an active/updated Athletic Physical uploaded to Arbiter - check the "Physical Date Expiration" to ensure that you do not need to upload a new physical before tryouts
  • Tryout specific information will be shared closer to tryouts.

Reminder for Student-Athletes and Families
Student-athletes are reminded that they are responsible for bringing all equipment, clothing, shoes, and other items needed for practices and games with them to school.

Please plan ahead and double-check that all necessary sports items are packed before leaving for school. The front office is unable to accept parent drop-offs of athletic equipment or other sports-related items during the school day.

If a student forgets an item, parents/guardians will need to make arrangements to provide it directly to their student after the school day has ended.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping our student-athletes come prepared.

Monday will be a “B” day.
