Lake Ridge MS World Language Specialty Program
The World Language Specialty Program offers high-school Level I and Level II world language courses for high school credit. The Level I course is completed over two years in 6th and 7th grades. Successful program participants continue to Level II in 8th grade. The courses are for high-school credit and require rigorous daily preparation. Generally, students who enroll in the World Language Specialty Program are also placed in an Extended (accelerated) Language Arts class).
Program Features
- Languages offered: French, German, Spanish
- The program is interest-based.
- Students earn two high school credits over three years.
- Entry year: 6th grade

Who can apply?
Applications for this program are open for rising 6th grade students.
When to apply?
Specialty program applications will be accepted Monday, November 3, 2025, through Monday, February 2, 2026.
