FUN DAY
Get Ready for FUN Day!
We’re excited to celebrate FUN Day on Wednesday, June 10th! It’s going to be a day full of movement, laughter, and memorable activities for all students.
What to Wear & Bring:
Students are encouraged to wear athletic clothes and sneakers so they can fully participate and stay comfortable. Please also bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
What to Expect:
Students will rotate through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities with their lunch period class, enjoying a mix of games, challenges, and fun experiences.
Indoor Movie Option:
One of the indoor rotations will include a movie in the classroom. Possible selections include Finding Dory, The Secret Life of Pets, Moana, and Monsters University. If you prefer that your child not watch a specific movie, please complete the following form: FUN Day Movie Opt Out by Tuesday June 9th at 3pm.
Important Eligibility Information:
If your student is not eligible to participate in FUN Day, you will receive communication from the school by Monday, June 8th with additional details.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic day celebrating our students—please help them come prepared and ready for fun!
NO BACKPACKS
Beginning on Thursday, students should no longer bring bags and backpacks to school. Any student who brings a bag or backpack will have it locked up in the Wolves Den for the day.
Any student who was issued a locker should take the time to make sure they've cleaned it out.
DEVICE COLLECTION
End of the year device collection is fast approaching. Students need to plan on turning in their PWCS iPad, original charger brick & cords. Returning 6th Grade students will keep their sleeves for use next year.
- Monday 6/8 - 6th grade collection
If students have damages to keyboard case or lost their laptop sleeve or charger they can bring cash (exact amount only) or check (made out to LRMS):
- Missing laptop sleeve - $15
- Missing charging brick - $20
- Missing charging cord -$20
- Replacement cost for damaged keyboard case - $110
- Replacement cost for iPad - $330
***If a student has insurance, parents can fill out an affidavit (attached) about this missing charging brick and/or cord.
Any student attending summer school will bring their device in for a visual inspection before they keep it for summer school.
Please ensure that the iPad is fully charged when returning it as it speeds up the return process.
MEDICATION PICKUP
As the end of the school year approaches, we ask that parents/guardians begin preparations to come and collect all medications that are in the school clinic. You can come in, starting tomorrow, between 8am – 3pm to meet with the nurse to get your student’s medications. Any medications not picked up by 12:00pm on June 12, will be destroyed, as per the PWCS regulation. We cannot hold any medications for next year and students cannot transport the medications themselves.
MOVING OVER THE SUMMER?
If you are planning on moving during the summer log in to your ParentVue account and complete the withdrawal packet located under the online registrations. In addition, please fill out a form using this link before June 5th. This allows our Registrar enough time to work on updating your data and getting student records sent to your new school.
