WOLF WEEKLY
May 24, 2026

Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

UPDATED PWCS APPS
Effective June 30, 2026, two apps commonly used by PWCS families – ParentVUE and the EZ A2B bus tracking app – are being updated by their respective vendors.  The current versions of both apps will no longer work after June 30.

To be prepared for summer school and/or the 2026-27 school year, families are encouraged to download both new apps as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted access to grades, attendance, and transportation information.

For ParentVue, you can download the version labeled “ParentVUE (New)” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.  You can also download directly here.  The EZ A2B bus tracking app has been renamed to EZArrival.  Families should search for “EZArrival” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.  You can also download directly here.

MOVING OVER THE SUMMER?
If you are planning on moving during the summer log in to your ParentVue account and  complete the withdrawal packet located under the online registrations. In addition, please fill out a form using this link before June 5th.  This allows our Registrar enough time to work on updating your data and getting student records sent to your new school.  Contact Ms. Gouro at [email protected] if you have any questions.

FREE SUMMER MEALS
PWCS is pleased to support students and families with free summer meals for children ages 18 and under through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In-person breakfast and lunch are available at multiple school sites across PWCS, and children may visit any open site to receive meals at no cost. Children must remain on site while consuming their meals.

New this year: Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School will offer a to‑go meals option, where families may pick up weekly meal kits to take home at no cost. Families who may be interested in picking up to‑go meals from Colgan High School are encouraged to complete this short survey by May 29, 2026. Completing the survey is optional and for planning purposes only. Families who do not complete the form will still be able to pick up meals while supplies last.

Additional details are available on the PWCS Summer Meals page.

GRILL ON THE HILL
We are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our amazing 8th graders as they prepare for the next chapter of their journey into high school.  On Friday, June 5, from 12:30 to 2:50 p.m., Lake Ridge Middle School will continue it’s cherished “Grill on the Hill” tradition, a fun and memorable cookout where our principal and 8th grade administrator personally grill hamburgers and hot dogs for the students as a way to celebrate and recognize their hard work and achievements.

To help make the event extra special, we invite families to contribute side dishes, desserts, drinks, or other requested items listed on the SignUpGenius.  We are also looking for 16 parent volunteers to assist with setup, decorations, and serving food for the event.

If you are considering donating food or drinks for the event, please bring them in a disposable container no later than 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5.  Non-food items can be dropped off at the front office beginning Monday, June 1.

Since the event is taking place during school hours, it is only open to students.  We do however sincerely appreciate the support our families provide behind the scenes.  Thank you for helping make this tradition a memorable send-off for the LRMS class of 2026!  Any questions can be directed to our parent liaison, Ms. Villagomez, at [email protected].

Schools will be closed Monday in honor of Memorial Day and also on Wednesday in recognition of Eid al-Adha.

Tuesday will be an “A” day.
