Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-   

ELECTRONICS REMINDER
We have seen a number of students bringing Nintendo Switch and other handheld gaming consoles to school.  These devices should be left at home and are in violation of the Code of Behavior in regards to electronic devices, phones, headphones, etc.

SOL TESTING
We begin our SOL testing this week.

  • Tuesday 5/12: Math 6 and Math 6 EXT
  • Wednesday 5/13: Math 7, Math 8, Algebra, and Geometry
  • Thursday 5/4: ALL Math makeups

WORLD LANGUAGE EXTRAVAGANZA
The LRMS World Language Department presents Extravaganza 2026, a celebration of learning foreign languages and appreciating foreign cultures. Students in the World Language program display their talents in the language they’ve learned, whether it be French, German or Spanish. 

We have a range of acts that include a cooking show, short films, singing and dancing and much more. The event takes place:

May 22nd from 5:30 - 7:30 in the LRMS Gymnasium

8TH GRADE DANCE
Tickets for the 8th grade dance will continue to be sold Monday, May 11th during lunches.  No tickets will be sold after 11:15 a.m. on Monday morning.

Celebrate your 8th grader’s big milestone with a custom Lake Ridge Middle School graduation yard sign! Each sign is $22.00 and includes a stake, individually packaged for easy display.

You’ll receive a proof within 1–2 business days for approval. All signs will be delivered to the school on May 29 and distributed by the PTO.

SCIENCE FAIR WINNERS
Congratulations to our Science Fair winners!

Ariana Bajwa, William Cartledge, Jillian Hata, Aneri Patel, and Ahona Saha proudly represented Lake Ridge at the Prince William County–Manassas Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

  • Ahona Saha earned an Honorable Mention in the Plant Sciences category.
  • Ariana Bajwa won 1st Place in Medicine and Health Sciences.
  • Aneri Patel won 1st Place in Plant Sciences and also received an Honorable Mention for the 2026 STEM Award from the American Association of University Women.

In addition, Ariana and Aneri have qualified to compete in the national Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovator Challenge - an outstanding achievement.

Athletes are reminded to bring their stuff for practice/meets with them to school. If an athlete forgets something for practice/game, please wait until after 3:05 p.m. to drop off so as not to interfere with buses.

Adult tickets $3 and Student tickets $1.  We ask that you don’t bring any bills larger than $20 so that we can make change.

 

Monday will be an “A” day.
