Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

END OF 3RD MARKING PERIOD
The last day of the 3rd marking period is March 27, 2026.  The end of each grading period is an important time to review your student’s progress and attendance. Families are encouraged to check in on your student’s real-time grades through ParentVUE and to discuss their performance. SAY SOMETHING WEEK
Please help support the Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Club next week as we promote Say Something Week!

Say Something Week is a powerful movement that puts the focus on the impact of Trusted Adults and Upstanders in communities, especially in schools.

We will offer a few easy activities and suggest some conversations focused on empowering everyone to take action and create change and a safe school environment.

For our creative minds:
Poster contest- Use your creativity and make a poster that displays ways that we can all keep schools safe.

These will be judged and prizes will be awarded for each grade level. Posters are due to rm. 1703 by the end of the school day next Thursday 3.26.26.We are excited to see what you come up with. See attachment for more info.

Conversations: This is a great time for us all to do some reflection and get some ideas or reminders of what part we all play in helping our school community be a healthy and safe space for all.

  • Make a difference Monday-encourage others to take action and show that they care for one another... talk about what actions you take to show others you care.
  • Upstander Tuesday-recognize and celebrate those who have helped by taking action or who promote school safety... discuss how your actions can contribute to keeping us safe.
  • Wear Green Wednesday- take time to think about and discuss why it is important for everyone to feel safe.We wear green to honor those who have experienced extreme violence like Sandy Hook Elementary.
  • Trusted Adult Thursday- show appreciation to trusted adults in your school and your community.... how does it feel to know that others care for you?
  • Be Kind Friday- how can you be kind to those that you don't even know?Recognize the difference that kindness makes in keeping our schools and community safe
