Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-
FOOD DELIVERIES PROHIBITED
With Valentine’s Day being this week, we would like to remind parents that food and floral deliveries cannot be accepted for students. Please do not use Grub Hub, Door Dash, or any other 3rd party service to deliver food, flowers, teddy bears, balloons, etc. to your student. The front office will deny the delivery and send it back. Parents can drop off food themselves, but we request that chocolates, teddy bears, balloons, and flowers be left for home, as they cause a disruption to learning. Parent should coordinate with their child ahead of time if they are dropping off food. We cannot interrupt classroom instruction to notify students that food was brought by their parent. Students are encouraged to swing by the front office, as they head to lunch, to pick up any food they may be expecting.
ACCESS TESTING
Over the next few weeks, select students will be participating in ACCESS testing. With this in mind, we will run an advisory schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this upcoming week. Please make sure your student arrives to school on time, with their device charged, and heads directly to Advisory on those days, even if they are not testing. We will be enforcing silent hallways throughout the day, so please be mindful and respectful to students who are testing these days.

As we have finished the 2nd Quarter, this is a reminder that any student attending after-school events must be Academically Eligible. If a student received more than 1 Failure in a class, they will not be allowed to attend an after-school event.
PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor athletic events at the middle school level. This is in alignment with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor athletic events at all middle schools on Monday, January 10, 2022. Our school will have a plan in place to secure any student bookbags as needed during athletic events. We will not be responsible for securing bags from any attendees who are not students at our school. Signage will be posted to remind attendees prior to arriving at the ticket area. We thank you in advance for adhering to this policy and look forward to having you with us to cheer on our student-athletes.
Monday will be a “B” day.
