WOLF WEEKLY
December 14, 2025

Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

We’ve made it to the last school week of the calendar year.

CONCERNING SOCIAL MEDIA TREND
We want to bring to your attention an increasing social media trend involving incidents of "pantsing" that are starting to show up in some of our schools. Pantsing is defined as forcibly removing or pulling down another individual's clothing without their consent. Pantsing is a serious violation of our Code of Behavior and may constitute “criminal sexual contact” under Title IX. “Criminal sexual contact” replaced “fondling” under Title IX and includes a much

broader range of unwelcome touching between students. Pantsing not only infringes on personal boundaries but also causes humiliation, distress, and potential harm to the targeted student with lasting negative impact. Our school division is committed to maintaining a safe and equitable environment for all students, and any incidents of pantsing will be subject to disciplinary action and may trigger Title IX investigations. We ask for your partnership in

discussing the seriousness of this behavior with your children and reinforcing the importance of respecting others' privacy and dignity. Together, we can foster a culture of respect and safety for every student.

LOCKERS
Students that have a locker should make sure to clean out any trash and food that is in their locker, especially those that can rot and/or attract bugs over the long break.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Changes to school operations may occur due to inclement weather and other events that cause hazardous conditions. The scope, duration, and impact of these closures and modifications can vary significantly.

PWCS adheres to Regulation 405-1, “School Closing Due to Hazardous Conditions," which outlines protocols for managing such situations. These include Code Red, Code Green, Code Orange, as well as options for delayed openings and early dismissals.

Visit the PWCS website for additional information on the hazardous conditions codes and cancellation procedures to see how delayed openings or school closings may affect schools and activities and employee workdays. Additional guidance is available on the FAQs page.

As we have finished the 1st Quarter, this is a reminder that any student attending after-school events must be Academically Eligible. If a student received more than 1 Failure in a class, they will not be allowed to attend an after-school event.

PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor athletic events at the middle school level. This is in alignment with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor athletic events at all middle schools on Monday, January 10, 2022. Our school will have a plan in place to secure any student bookbags as needed during athletic events. We will not be responsible for securing bags from any attendees who are not students at our school. Signage will be posted to remind attendees prior to arriving at the ticket area. We thank you in advance for adhering to this policy and look forward to having you with us to cheer on our student-athletes.

Games ticket prices, CASH ONLY, are $3 for Adults, $1 for Students, Senior Citizens are Free. Please do not have bills larger than $10 to ensure change can be given to all paying customers.

Monday will be a “B” Day.
