Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-
SPIRIT WEEK
In an effort to continue to promote unity and community, LRMS will be participating in Sandy Hook's "Start With Hello Spirit Week" initiative! Start With Hello Week promotes positive relationships and the power of reaching out to those who feel left out. It is important to acknowledge your power and how you can affect others around you in positive ways. Let's make the mindset of helping others feel seen, accepted and valued a norm by "Starting With Hello". The "Start With Hello Spirit Week" will begin this coming Monday, 9/22/25.
🤝🏼 Meet and Greet Monday: Say hello to new people in the halls and in classes to help them feel seen and welcome
💚 Wear Green Wednesday: Let's show how important everyone is in our school by wearing green to show our Unity
💬🗨 Let's Talk About it Thursday: Let's talk about how to encourage people to talk about things with trusted people
🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♂️⏩ Moving forward Fri-YAY: Think about ways to help everyone feel accepted and valued that you can do starting today

6th GRADE READING
Lake Ridge Middle School Library is sponsoring a special dessert luncheon for 6th grade students, to encourage reading! We hope that every student enjoys the habit of reading for pleasure, at home, for at least 20 minutes each day.
If you would like to participate in this activity
- Complete the reading log
- Record the number of minutes you spend reading for pleasure each day (between September 22 and October 31)
- be sure to have your parent/guardian sign your reading log
- on November 5th give your signed reading log to your Language Artsteacher
If you have read for at least 600 minutes, you will be invited to bring your lunch to the library and eat with the librarians during lunch in November. On that day, the librarians will provide drinks and dessert.
SUPPORT LAKE RIDGE CHEER
On Thursday, 9/25, enjoy your favorite burgers and fries from Five Guys to support your Lake Ridge Middle School Cheer Team! A portion of the evening’s sales will go directly to help fund uniforms, travel, and competition fees. Just be sure to mention Lake Ridge Cheer!
