LOCKDOWN DRILL
This week, students will once again be participating in a lockdown drill which will teach them what to do in the event of a real lockdown situation. This is just a drill.
EARLY DISMISSALS
We would like to remind parents of a few guidelines regarding early dismissals.
- Early dismissals end at 2:30 p.m. each day. If you need your student early, you’ll need to arrive at the school before 2:30 p.m.
- You must have a picture ID with you (pictures of your ID on your phone are not sufficient).
- Upon your arrival and verification that you are listed as an authorized pickup person, we will call the student to the office. We cannot call students prior to your arrival.
WELCOME BACK DANCE
Our first school dance of the year is being held on Friday, September 12 from 3-5pm. Students can pickup permission slips, during lunches, on Wednesday. Tickets can be purchased, during lunches, on Thursday and Friday. A signed permission slip is required to purchase a ticket and no tickets will be sold after 1:35 p.m. on Friday, September 12. We will have designated areas for students to leave their backpacks during the dance.
PTO SPIRIT NIGHT
Join the LRMS PTO for Spirit Night at Five Guys, 4109 Merchant Plaza, on Wednesday, September 17 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm! Please be sure to tell them you are with Lake Ridge Middle School PTO when you order.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS
- 6th Grade Back to School Night will be on Tuesday, September 9th from 6-7:30 p.m.
- 7th & 8th Grade Back to School Night will be on Thursday, September 11th from 6-7:30 p.m.
LIBRARY
Students interested in joining a monthly lunchtime book club focused on the Virginia Readers' Choice books can sign up in the library! All are welcome!
BOOK FAIR
The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is this week! September 8-12!
Families can use this link to set up e-Wallets and shop online!
Book Fair will be open 5:30 to 7:00 pm on each Back to School night. Thank you for supporting our library!
Monday will be a “B” Day.
