BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS
- 6th Grade Back to School Night will be on Tuesday, September 9th from 6-7:30 p.m.
- 7th & 8th Grade Back to School Night will be on Thursday, September 11th from 6-7:30 p.m.
ITEM DROP-OFF & FOOD DELIVERY GUIDELINES
To help maintain a focused learning environment and minimize disruptions to instructional time, we kindly ask that students arrive at school with all necessary items for the day. This helps us keep the front office organized and ensures that classroom learning remains uninterrupted. If an item is dropped off during the school day, we will not be calling classrooms to notify students. Instead, students who are expecting a drop-off may check the front office between periods.
Additionally, please note that food deliveries from third-party services (e.g., DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats) are not permitted and will be declined. Parents may personally drop off food for their child if needed.
We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us protect valuable learning time and maintain a smooth, productive school day.
ROBOTICS CLUB INTEREST
The Robotics club is accepting applications for the upcoming season. Please see the Club Board outside the library, Mr. McLaughlin in the main office, or the Student Canvas course for an application form. Applications are due Friday, August 29th. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted, as admission to the club is highly selective and competitive.

LOCK DOWN DRILL
We will have our first Lock Down Drill this week. During the drill, students will be instructed on what to do in the event of a real life lock down situation. This will only be a drill.

The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming! September 8-12!
Families can use this link to set up e-Wallets, preview the fair, and shop online!
Book Fair will be open 5:30 to 7:00 pm on each Back to School night. Thank you for supporting our library!
BACK-TO-SCHOOL PACKET AVAILABLE IN PARENTVUE
Having up-to-date emergency contact information for our families is vital. We need all families to complete the annual Back to School Packet. Completing the packet unlocks access to key details like class schedules and bus routes – so don’t delay!
SCHOOL ISSUED DEVICES AND INSURANCE
Each student will receive an iPad that comes with a keyboard case. Please remind your child that drawing on the keyboard case, writing on it, placing stickers, or using name tags is NOT ALLOWED. Additionally, keyboard cases are not covered by warranty or insurance. If a replacement case is needed due to loss or damage, it must be purchased at school for $120.
Students are responsible for bringing their devices to school every day. We will not provide loaner devices, and students are not allowed to bring chargers or cords for charging purposes. Students must manage their device's battery life at home. If a student forgets their device at home, they will be required to use pen and paper for class activities.
PWCS is once again using Securranty to provide insurance for our school devices. AppleCare is included with the iPads, but only covers 2 damaged screens a year. Damage to the case/keyboard or loss of device is not covered with AppleCare. Securranty insurance can be purchased for $29.95 and would cover unlimited accidental damage to device AND keyboard, as well as loss of device. See the attached flyer for information on how to purchase insurance.
ATHLETICS
Fall tryouts begin this week. Below is the schedule for each sport. As a reminder, students must have their sports physicals uploaded into Arbiter. Paper copies brought to tryouts will not be accepted.
