Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

LIBRARY
Prince William County Public Schools is introducing new features to the parent controls for library materials within PWCS’ library management system.

Starting the week of April 27, parents will receive notifications about the student selected library materials checked out by their student that day.

These emails will be sent automatically to the primary parent/guardian email address, ensuring you stay informed about your student’s reading activities. This feature will be activated for all PWCS students. Please note that there is no option to opt out of these email communications.

WSHS VOLLEYBALL
Woodbridge Senior High School Volleyball is hosting a Parent and New Student Interest Meeting, for rising 8th and 9th graders, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025. 

CELL PHONES AND WIRELESS DEVICES
Thank you for your support and collaboration with the Cell Phone and Wireless Communication Device Usage Guidelines that were introduced this year. Your involvement has had a positive impact on student learning and engagement.

We want to remind students to keep their electronic devices silenced and stored away during the school day. At Lake Ridge, these guidelines apply to all cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, personal headphones, personal laptops, tablets, and other personal electronic communication devices for the remainder of the school year.

As a reminder, students may only use their school-issued devices for academic purposes during the school day. This is necessary to enable effective monitoring and to ensure compliance with our Responsible Use and Internet Safety Policy.

  2. Thursday, May 1st;  Reading 6 and 8 SOLs
  3. Monday, May 5th; Civics SOL Make-Up
  4. Tuesday, May 6th; Reading 6, 7, and 8 Make-Up SOLs
  5. Thursday, May 8th; Science SOL
  6. Friday, May 9th; Science SOL Make-Up
  7. Wednesday, May 14th; Math 6 SOL
  8. Thursday, May 15th; Math 7, 8, Algebra, and Geometry SOLs
  9. Friday, May 16th; Math SOL Make-Ups

Important Reminders:

  1. Ensure that your child arrives to school on-time each day.
  2. Your child will need a fully charged computer. 
  3. Your child will be reminded to place all electronic devices to include cell-phones, watches, wireless headphones away during the duration of testing unless otherwise specified. 
  4. Expedited Retakes will be communicated at a later time. 

WORLD LANGUAGE EXTRAVAGANZA
The LRMS World Language Department presents Extravaganza 2025, a celebration of learning foreign languages and appreciating foreign cultures. Students in the World Language program display their talents in the language they have learned, whether it be French, German or Spanish.

We have a range of acts that include a cooking show, singing and dancing and maybe a little bit of crowd participation. The event takes place:

May 21st from 6:00 - 8:00 in the LRMS Gymnasium and Cafeteria.

We will offer refreshments from cultures that are represented in the show! We ask that if you would like to help us with this event by providing food and drink, please contact Mrs. Villagomez [email protected] for more details on how you can help us make this night EXTRAVAGANT!
