PTO
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, May 5-9

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is May 5-9! Let's show the LRMS staff how much we appreciate their hard work. We'll be planning special treats for them for the entire week, so we need your help. You can make a monetary donation here or sign up to donate items here. If you would like to volunteer to assist with activities for the week, please email us at [email protected]. Thank you in advance!

As we enter Spring, we sometimes see an uptick in "horseplay" behaviors that can lead to more serious events. If you feel that your child may be someone who could get caught up in this, please have a conversation stressing the importance of "keeping hands and all body parts to self, even in play."

With these behaviors, it may become necessary for administration to give consequences to students in the form of after-school detention or Saturday School. We understand that something may seem small to you, but in a school of 1500 students, little things become big very quickly. We need to continue to provide an atmosphere of learning through June.

Please note that if a student skips an assigned consequence, whether it is an after-school detention or Saturday School, they will lose the privilege to attend Fun Day. Unfortunately, they will not be able to earn this right back if a consequence is skipped. We will do everything in our power to work with parents, but sometimes we are bound by the availability of school staff.

If a conflict arises, parents can notify the administrator through email or a written note to request a change in the date of the consequence.

Thank you for your support and attention to this matter.

The school will be closed next week for Spring Break.  Enjoy the week and we’ll see all the students back on April 22nd.

Tuesday, April 22nd will be an “A” day.
