Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians- Reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow. We will have our Touchbase Event for parents. See below for more information.
Q3 / SEMESTER 2 BEGINS
6th & 7th grade students will begin new Quarter Encores and 8th grade students will begin new semester classes on Tuesday, January 30th. Students should log into their StudentVue, go to the Class Schedule tab, and focus to Quarter 3 to see their new class. Schedules will not be printed.
TOUCHBASE EVENT
We will be hosting a Touchbase event on January 29, 2024 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The event gives you an opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher(s). You will get to spend about 3-5 minutes with each teacher, but it is not designed to be a parent/teacher conference. There is no need to signup and parents will be seen on a first come first served basis.
VGA TESTING MAKEUPS
On Tuesday, January 30th; students will participate in the Winter Reading Virginia Growth Assessment Make-Up Session. On Wednesday, January 31st; students will participate in the Winter Mathematics Virginia Growth Assessment Make-Up Session. Students ensure that you come to school on time with a charged computer.
SCIENCE FAIR
The LRMS Science Fair will be held on Thursday, Feb 1, from 4:30-5:30 in the cafeteria. All are welcome!
Reminder to Science Fair participants - Please plan to bring your presentation materials to school on the morning of Feb. 1 to store in the Wolves Den. We will set up for the fair as soon as school is over. If you cannot get your materials to school in the morning, parents are welcome to bring them at 3:30.
PTO
The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 6 pm. Please join us using the following link.
YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks are currently being sold online for $30; order yours NOW before the price increases. To order, visit www.yearbookordercenter.com and put in Lake Ridge Middle School’s code: 7092. Prices begin increasing in February, and the only way to order yearbooks this year will be online; there will be NO extra yearbooks ordered, so snag yours now before it is too late!
