WOLF WEEKLY

December 03, 2023

Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

No matter what holiday you celebrate you can never go wrong with Kindness.

It has been proven that the end of the year holidays can cause people to have a wide range of emotions. The holidays can bring thoughts and feelings of happiness and togetherness, but for some people it can be a lonely, sad and an overwhelming time of the year.

Practicing kindness especially around this time of the year has benefits for not only the recipient, but for the giver as well. Doing something kind for another brings positive vibes and thoughts of consideration and generosity. It can also improve your mood and reduce stress.

Kindness is a gift that is free and improves everyone's wellbeing.  A Win-Win situation.

With that being said, starting next Tuesday we want to ask that everyone promote kindness by participating in the specified challenges for each of the 12 days. See the attached file for the list of daily challenges.

PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor athletic events at the middle school level. This is in alignment with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor athletic events at all middle schools on Monday, January 10, 2022. Our school will have a plan in place to secure any student bookbags as needed during athletic events. We will not be responsible for securing bags from any attendees who are not students at our school. Signage will be posted to remind attendees prior to arriving at the ticket area. We thank you in advance for adhering to this policy and look forward to having you with us to cheer on our student-athletes.

If you are Academically Ineligible, more than 1 Failing class from the 1st Quarter, you are unable to attend any athletic event. We will be checking the Ineligibility list before purchasing tickets for our Athletic Events.

Monday will be an “A” day.
