WOLF WEEKLY

December 17, 2023

Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-  We have a shortened week this week.  Students will only be in school Monday-Wednesday.  We hope you have an enjoyable winter break and we look forward to seeing you back again in January.

WINTER PEP RALLY

We will host our Winter Grade Level Pep Rallies on Wednesday, December 20th.  In order to allow for grade level times, we will be on a modified schedule.  Students will only attend Periods 1, 3, 4, 6, and 7. Lunch shifts will not be impacted.

SPIRIT WEEK

For the past two weeks, the staff has participated in a staff only spirit week. We wanted to see if we could keep the kids guessing what we were doing.  We want the last three days before break to include them as well.  So beginning tomorrow, please join us in ending our spirit week for kindness month.

  • Monday – Wear your ugly sweater
  • Tuesday – Wear your pajamas and prepare for cozy vacation days
  • Wednesday – Wear green so you remember not to be a grinch

CELL PHONE SURVEY

As the school division prepares for the 2024-25 school year, they are requesting feedback from parents regarding the cell phone policy.  Please take a moment to fill out the survey here.

LRMS DRAMA

LRMS Drama proudly presents Annie Jr.

Our show will take place on Thursday, March 21st and Friday, March 22nd (the week before Spring Break).  Auditions will be on Wednesday, January 10th, by signup only!  Auditions are open to the entire school.  Students need to make sure that the production is the priority and make sure that they can commit to coming to all rehearsals.  Students should prepare a short monologue and a short song.  We do not have an accompanist, so students can sing acapella or have a digital recording of their audition.  Use this link to signup for an audition time.  An audition and crew packet is also attached.  Contact Ms. Couchman if you have any questions.

PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor athletic events at the middle school level. This aligns with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor athletic events at all middle schools on Monday, January 10, 2022. Our school will NOT have a plan to secure any student bookbags as needed during athletic events. We will not be responsible for securing bags from attendees who are not students at our school. A signage will be posted to remind attendees before arriving at the ticket area. We thank you in advance for adhering to this policy and look forward to having you with us to cheer on our student-athletes.

As a reminder, any student planning to attend any sporting event must go home after school and return for the game.  Students are not permitted to remain at the school until the start of the event.  In addition, If you are Academically Ineligible, more than 1 Failing class from the 1st Quarter, you are unable to attend any athletic event. We will be checking the Ineligibility list before purchasing tickets for our Athletic Events.

Monday will be an “A” day.
