Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians- 

FOOD DELIVERIES
Students and parents are not permitted to order food for delivery to the school.  Any food delivered by Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc… will be refused at the door.  Please ensure that your students come to school with their lunch each day.  As a reminder, school lunches are free to students this year.

DOWN SYNDROME AWARENESS
To raise Down Syndrome Awareness we will be having a Sock Off. We ask that everyone wear mismatched, bold, or colorful socks on Friday March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day to school.  During lunch, students can sign a pledge “Generation G” and vote for the teacher wearing their favorite socks.  The winning teacher’s Advisory class will win donuts.

DRONE TEAM FUNDRAISER
Please come and support the Drone Team!

They are a hosting Spirit Night at Skate-N-Fun in Manassas this Monday, March 17th, from

6-9pm. Skate rental, 3 hours of skating, a slice of pizza, a soda, and 4 game tokens ALL for just $10!

BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS
Our Spring Book Fair is coming soon.  Our Library is looking for parent/guardian volunteers to help out during the Book Fair.  Please use the following link to sign up.

  • June 3, 2025- 7th grade Awards

  • May 16, 2025- 8th grade dance, 7-9pm
  • June 5, 2025- Grill on the Hill (8th grade only) during the school day
  • FUN DAY-  June 10, 2025 (during the school day)
  • Rain date- June 11, 2025
  • Last Day of School- June 12, 2025
  • Teacher workday- June 13, 2025

End of Year Requirements for Attendance to Activities
To attend the FUN DAY and 8th Grade Dance, students must meet the following criteria starting the 4th Marking Period (April 1):

  1. Library Books and Fines:
    • All library books must be returned.
    • No outstanding fines.
  2. Disciplinary Referrals:
    • Any student receiving a referral that receives exclusionary discipline (Out of School Suspension) will lose the privilege to attend.
    • Students with 3 referrals resulting in 1-hour after-school detention to Saturday school (non-exclusionary discipline) will not be able to attend unless they complete 1 hour of community service* with a staff member.  The staff member must sign off on the completed time. This is a one-time opportunity. If that student receives a 4th referral, that results in non-exclusionary discipline they will not be allowed to attend.

These requirements ensure that students are responsible and maintain good behavior leading up to these events.

*The deadline for community service prior to the 8th grade Dance is May 12, 2025.

The deadline to complete community service for Fun Day is June 2, 2025.

Students are responsible for picking up a Community Service Form and scheduling their own Community Service.  Forms are available in the front office. Community Service must be performed at LRMS with a staff member.

ATHLETICS 
Our Spring Season (Girls' Soccer, Softball, Boys' Track, and Baseball) is just around the corner as tryouts are set to begin on Monday, March 24th from 3-5 pm. If you are interested in trying out you will need to have a 2024-2025 PWCS Middle School Athletic Physical, can be found on our website, and have completed the Concussion Training through ParentVue. Please make sure that you are signing and submitting the Concussion Training after completing it, you should receive a notification that it is completed.

If you have turned in an Athletic Physical already this school year or went through a tryout, then you will not need to turn another one or recomplete the Concussion Training as it is good for the entire 2024-2025 school year.
