Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-
ATTENDANCE
We would like to remind and recommend that any parent(s) that excuse their student and have a doctor’s note, please submit those to the school. A doctor's note allows us to code the attendance in a manner that doesn’t count towards your student’s absence totals. This will help to ensure that an attendance meeting won’t be necessary.
COUNSELING
Rising 7th and Rising 8th Grade Scheduling
The Counseling Department will visit music classes the week of February 17th to assist students with the course request process through the StudentVue. All of the information shared is available on the LRMS Counseling Canvas page. The deadline to enter courses requests is March 1, 2025.
READRC and MATHRC
Some students and families may have noticed a 9th period added to their student's schedule this week. These courses were added due to the requirements of State Reporting and are not an additional class that the student will be taking. VALENTINE’S DANCE
NJHS will be hosting a Valentine’s Dance after school on Friday, February 21, from 3-5 p.m. Permission slips will be available to students, during their lunches, beginning Wednesday. Tickets will be sold during lunches Thursday and Friday.
CHEER FUNDRAISER
LRMS Cheerleading is doing a fundraiser with Little Caesars! With the Superbowl coming up, what better way to make sure everyone gets a delicious meal than to purchase a family dinner with Little Caesars?! All fundraising profits will go toward new uniforms and any other needs for the team (competition funds, poms, signs, etc). This link has instructions for picking up your order. PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor athletic events at the middle school level. This is in alignment with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor athletic events at all middle schools on Monday, January 10, 2022. Our school will have a plan in place to secure any student bookbags as needed during athletic events. We will not be responsible for securing bags from any attendees who are not students at our school. Signage will be posted to remind attendees prior to arriving at the ticket area. We thank you in advance for adhering to this policy and look forward to having you with us to cheer on our student-athletes.
As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, February 17, 2025 in honor of President’s Day.
Tuesday will be a B day.
