We are working to get a few other schools join us but cannot guarantee that all program coordinators will be available. If your student is interested in attending, please have them visit the announcement section of the Student Canvas Course to complete the sign-up form by November 12th.

GRATITUESDAYS IN NOVEMBER
On Tuesdays in November we will be celebrating GratiTuesday! During lunches, the Counseling Department will offer an activity that helps students practice gratitude. What is gratitude? Gratitude is the feeling of thankfulness and appreciation for the good things in life, and expressing gratitude can have many benefits.

  • Positive emotions: Gratitude can improve your mood, boost your happiness, and help you feel less stressed and depressed.
  • Better relationships: When you're grateful for someone's kindness, you may be more likely to be kind in return.
  • Better decision making: Gratitude can help you learn and make smart decisions.
  • Refocusing: Gratitude helps you focus on what you have instead of what you lack.
  • Mental health: Gratitude can have a positive effect on your mental health

This weeks GratiTuesday's phrase is "I am grateful for___________." We encourage you to talk with your student(s) throughout this week about what you are grateful for and help them identify things they are grateful for.

WORLD KINDNESS DAY
Wednesday, November 13 is World Kindness Day!!  As part of a spirt day, we want you to wear attire and/or accessories that symbolize the kindness that everyone deserves.  Pick up a Kindness Challenge form on the Kindness bulletin board and complete the activity starting November 12.  Forms must be turned in to Mrs. Proctor-Dunn by November 14.
