WOLF WEEKLY
October 27, 2024

Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

ITEM DROP OFF’S
We are seeing an increase in the amount of items that are being dropped off, for students, in our front office.  To minimize the amount of classroom disruptions and lost instructional time, we will not be calling each classroom to have a student come up to the office to retrieve their personal items.  Please remind your students to make sure they have everything they need for the school day before leaving the house and to check-in with the front office if they are anticipating that an item was left for them.

VISION/HEARING SCREENINGS
We will continue with the screenings on Monday, October 28, 7th grade students will be taking a mandatory vision and hearing screening during their PE classes.

TOUCH BASE EVENT
We will be hosting a Touchbase event on November 4, 2024 from 8:30-10:30 a.m.  The event gives you  an opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher(s).  You will get to spend about 3-5 minutes with each teacher, but it is not designed to be a parent/teacher conference.  There is no need to signup and parents will be seen on a first come first served basis.

6TH GRADE LUNCH WITH THE LIBRARIANS
We are in need of volunteers to help donate some goodies for our 6th Grade Lunch with the Librarians.  If you can help out, please follow this link.  Thank you for your support.

SCIENCE FAIR
Calling all LRMS Scientists! Our Science Fair kick-off meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 30, from 3:00-4:00 in room 1329. An overview of the program, plus insider information from past Science Fair winners, will be shared. If you are unable to attend the meeting and would like to participate in this year's Science Fair, stop by room 1329 to pick up paperwork or email Mrs. Cezeaux at [email protected].

END OF QUARTER 1
The last day of the first marking period is October 31, 2024.  The end of each grading period is an important time to review your student’s progress and attendance. Families are encouraged to check in on your student’s real-time grades through ParentVUE and to discuss their performance. Students and families are reminded about our late work policy and the importance of students taking advantage of retakes. For 6th and 7th grade students, new quarter classes will begin for students on November 6, 2024.
