Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians-

VISION/HEARING SCREENINGS
On Friday, October 25 & Monday, October 28, 7th grade students will be taking a mandatory vision and hearing screening during their PE classes.

TOUCH BASE EVENT
We will be hosting a Touchbase event on November 4, 2024 from 8:30-10:30 a.m.  The event gives you  an opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher(s).  You will get to spend about 3-5 minutes with each teacher, but it is not designed to be a parent/teacher conference.  There is no need to signup and parents will be seen on a first come first served basis.

END OF QUARTER 1
The last day of the first marking period is October 31, 2024.  The end of each grading period is an important time to review your student’s progress and attendance. Families are encouraged to check in on your student’s real-time grades through ParentVUE and to discuss their performance. Students and families are reminded about our late work policy and the importance of students taking advantage of retakes. For 6th and 7th grade students, new quarter classes will begin for students on November 6, 2024.

SHINING STAR AWARD
Shout-out to the Counseling Department for earning a "Shining Star" award for their efforts with College and Career Planning for the 2023-2024 school year.  Our department was one of 15 schools in the Division to be recognized for achieving 100% completion on each of the required tasks related to college and career planning.  Achieving 100% on each task is quite an accomplishment and demonstrates the department's commitment to supporting every student.
