Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians- 

UNITY DAY OCTOBER 16 – WEAR ORANGE
Unity Day, the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, has been recognized in the United States since 2011. To participate in Unity Day, individuals, schools, communities, and businesses wear or share orange to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.  

VISION/HEARING SCREENINGS
On Friday, October 25 & Monday, October 28, 7th grade students will be taking a mandatory vision and hearing screening during their PE classes.

TOUCH BASE EVENT
We will be hosting a Touchbase event on November 4, 2024 from 8:30-10:30 a.m.  The event gives you  an opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher(s).  You will get to spend about 3-5 minutes with each teacher, but it is not designed to be a parent/teacher conference.  There is no need to signup and parents will be seen on a first come first served basis.

SIDELINE STORE
Lake Ridge Middle School is proud to present our new sideline store.  Click the following link to see the vast array of available spirt wear options.  This online store will stay open indefinitely.

HIGH SCHOOL SPECIALTY PROGRAMS
Attention 8th Grade Families: Prince William County Public Schools is pleased to provide a wide range of high school program opportunities for our students. Students may participate in the comprehensive program at their base high school, apply for the specialty program at their base high school, or apply to transfer to another high school for a specialty program. Students and families are encouraged to learn more about the different specialty program options, both advanced programs of studies and career and technical education programs available to high school students in Prince William County.  General information sessions will be held in October and November.  Students and families are encouraged to visit the PWCS Specialty Program website to learn more and if interested, attend one of the information sessions listed below. 

GENERAL INFORMATION SESSIONS

Specialty Program information nights are held in the fall and offer an overview of each program and the application process. Program specific information nights are held at each high school.

LRMS WORLD FESTIVAL
We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming "LRMS World Festival" on Thursday, November 21 from 6-8 p.m. You can participate by decorating a table, bringing a traditional dish, or just joining in to celebrate the diversity of our school.

Doors will open for Indoor Events at 4:50 pm. We will start ticket taking for Outdoor events at 4:30 pm. We only accept cash payments for any Lake Ridge Event. Please try to have bills no larger than $10 so we can assure that you receive change upon entering.

Adult Tickets are $3 and student Tickets are $1. 

This is a friendly reminder that we have a strict No Bag Policy for indoor events; Only small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. 

Monday is a teacher professional development workday and there is no school for students.


Tuesday will be a B day.
