LOCKDOWN DRILL
We will be conducting a lockdown drill this week. It is only a drill.
TOUCHBASE EVENT
We will be hosting a Touchbase event on November 6, 2023 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The event gives you an opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher(s). You will get to spend a few minutes with each teacher, but it is not designed to be a parent/teacher conference. There is no need to signup and parents will be seen on a first come first served basis.

SCIENCE FAIR
Calling all science enthusiasts...Lake Ridge will be holding a Science Fair this year! If you are curious about participating as either an individual or as part of a small group, please plan to attend our interest meeting on Wednesday, November 1. We will meet in the Wolves Den from 3:00 - 3:45. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cezeaux (room 1305) at [email protected].
HIGH SCHOOL SPECIALTY PROGRAM
Applications for the high school specialty programs are available beginning November 1, 2023. Please see the attached flyer with a breakdown of the different programs being offered and when each school has their specialty program information night(s).
WOODBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL HOLIDAY VENDOR FAIR
Mark your calendars to attend the WSHS PSO Holiday Vendor Fair on Saturday, November 18 from 9am-3pm. Get some holiday shopping done while supporting local small businesses and WSHS clubs. Food vendors and concessions will be available. Also help our community by bringing canned goods to support the Viking Food Pantry. See attached flyer for recommended items.
6th GRADE lUNCH WITH THE LIBRARIANS
We are in need of volunteers to help donate some goodies for our 6th Grade Lunch with the Librarians. If you can help out, please follow this link. Thank you for your support
ATHLETICS
As we conclude our Fall Athletics, we begin transitioning to our Winter 1 Season, Boy's Basketball, beginning on November 13th - 15/16. Remember that you need to complete an updated Athletic Physical and complete the Online - Concussion Training. If you were involved in a Fall 2023 Tryout, you DO NOT need to resubmit any paperwork if you plan on trying out for anything else this school year. Please do not wait until the last minute to get your paperwork in!

For ALL indoor events, PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor athletic events at the middle school level. This is in alignment with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor athletic events at all middle schools.
Monday will be a “B” day.
