Good evening Lake Ridge Middle School Parents/Guardians- As a reminder, there is no school Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
LAPTOP COLLECTION
We will be collecting all LRMS devices June 7-9. Please prepare for this by removing all personal stickers. Students will need to turn in their laptop, charger, and case (remove everything from the pocket). Please wipe down the device using a dry cloth and neatly wrap the charger cord using the Velcro. Students attending summer school will have their device checked for damage and then returned to them.
UPCOMING AWARDS NIGHTS
We will be hosting separate ceremonies for end-of-year awards for each grade level. The events will be by invitation only and families of students who are receiving an award will get notified via email. The following are the nights of each award ceremony:
- 6th grade – Monday, June 5 at 6:00 p.m.
- 7th grade – Tuesday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m.
- 8th grade – Thursday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m.
FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION
Family Life Education (FLE) will be taught at LRMS through Science classes in 6th and 7th grade, and through PE in 8th grade during the week of June 5 – 9. Your student’s teacher will be sending out more grade specific information through email this week, so please be on the lookout! If you wish to review the material your student will be learning or to opt them out, you can reach out to your student’s Science teacher (6/7 grades) or PE teacher (8th grade). 8TH GRADE DANCE
The SCA is hosting this year’s 8th Grade dance. The Dance will take place Friday June 2, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. This is NOT a formal event!! Prom dresses, tuxedos, and limousines are not appropriate. Business Casual attire (dresses, slack, and collared shirts) are suitable and recommended. Jeans, hoodies, and shorts are not permitted. There will be one final day for ticket sales, during lunch, on Wednesday, May 31.
FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The NFL Flag Football League is seeking those interested in playing flag football. Registration ends July 30 and the season begins September 10. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Inquiries can be directed to Lucas Fauser with RCXSports at [email protected].

TICKETS
To make entry into our events more effective and efficient, we are asking that you bring exact change or provide bills less than, or equal to, the amount of $10. When we receive $20 or even $50 bills, it creates an issue with providing the right amount of change for everyone throughout the night and holds up our line when we need to create more change throughout the night. Adult tickets are $3 and student tickets are $1, if you have a 3rd Quarter VISA, you are free. Thank you for your consideration.
Tuesday will be a "B" Day.
