ACTIVITY BUSSES CANCELED

OPPORTUNITY FOR 7TH GRADERS

Lake Ridge Middle School Counselors are looking for students to nominate for the Early Identification Program at George Mason.  The Early Identification Program (or EIP) serves as a college preparatory program that provides support and access to educational resources for middle and high school students.  This program is focused on creating a path to college for students who will be the first in their families to attend a 4-year college or university in the United States.  If your student is a current 7th grader and you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please fill out this form before Thursday, February 16. A counselor will follow up with you to answer any questions and discuss the nomination process with you.

The PWCS Food and Nutrition Department is holding a contest for students to create their own smoothie recipes.  Entries must be submitted by Friday, February 17th.  Winning submissions will be featured in the Middle/High School Cafeterias beginning March 8th.  See the flyer below for further details.

NO BAG POLICY FOR ALL INDOOR EVENTS:  PWCS enacted a no-bag policy for all indoor events (athletics, music concerts, plays, etc.) at the middle school level. This is in alignment with the policy currently in place at all high schools. This includes backpacks, purses, camera equipment bags, etc. Small wallet-sized clutch bags, clear diaper bags, and medically necessary bags are permitted. These bags may be subject to search. This policy went into effect for indoor events at all middle schools on Monday, January 10, 2022. Our school will have a plan in place to secure any bookbags, for participating students, as needed during events. We will not be responsible for securing bags from any attendees. You will be asked to leave your bag in your car or take it home. Signage will be posted to remind attendees prior to arriving at the ticket area. We thank you in advance for adhering to this policy and look forward to having you with us to cheer on our students.

Monday is an "A" day.
