This year we began using Powerschool Online Assessment for all Unit Strand Assessments (Quiz and Tests). We were just made aware of the student review feature, where students (and their parents/guardians) can go back and review the test online. Previously this year I have been printing out their score sheets and reviewing the test as a whole class.
Review your student's test, with answers, HERE:
Student Number: Student's 6-digit number.
Password: This is unique to each test.
Periods 2, 4 & 5 were given their password today, and were taped into their student agendas.
All students will have the option to review this in class on Wednesday, November 9, after their pretest.
Please, remember that the overall grade will not be what is put into gradebook, each strand will be its own grade. For Watershed USA 1 there are three strands. 6.7b Locations of Watershed (#1,2,3,4,10), 6.7c Tributaries, and River Systems (#5,9,11,12,15), and 6.7e Estuaries (#6,7,8,13,14).
The grade for 6.7b Locations of Watershed will be on the 1st Marking Period Grade. Strand 6.7c and 6.7e will be on the 2nd marking period, and retests will be available the week of November 14. A study packet will be available for the long weekend.

USA: Watershed 1
Today students received a study guide for their Watershed Unit Strand Assessment (USA) 1. This assessment is tomorrow, November 2. Successful completion of this study guide should significantly help students understand the material. An electronic version can be found on the "Files and Documents" section of my webpage. If students have questions, please refer them to their notes (in their Science Folder) first, then the online textbook. This will be their last grade of the marking period, as the marking period ends Thursday, November 3.
I have collected mostly everything I need for the Edible Aquifer, I am still in need of clear 16 ounce cups. Thank you all for your contributions!
Our field trip, yesterday 10/31, was a huge success. Students were very positive about the hands-on outdoor experience. If you hear any comments, or concerns please email me them so that I can address them, and grow the program. Thank you again to all of our parent chaperones that volunteered and attended!

During the Watershed Unit we learn about the Aquifer and the important role it has in our ecosystem. What better way to learn about something than building one ourselves? That is what we are going to do on Thursday, November 3, 2016. In order to make these delicious aquifers we need come supplies asap: Chocolate Sprinkles, Clear Plastic 16 OZ Cups, Mini-Marshmallows, Chocolate Chips, and Cocoa-Cocoa Puff Cereal. I will provide the: Ice, Ice Cream, Milk, Spoons, Straws, and any other necessary materials. Thank you for helping make science interactive and tasty! *If your student has any dietary instructions please email me so I can adjust as needed.
