Today the 6th and 7th grade students participated in scheduling for the next year. Students should share their copy of the scheduling form with you, so that you are aware of the classes they were recommended for and those that they chose. The form needs to be signed by a parent and returned to the homeroom teacher by Friday, January 27th. Questions about teacher recommendations should be discussed with directly with the teacher. Information about High School Options have been discussed since the beginning of November. Now is the time to start making some decisions about the courses that you will be taking next school year. Here is what you have to look forward to: Please do not forget that all Specialty Program Applications need to be completed online no later than February 1st. Students will get teacher recommendations and they will leave their forms here at school until we have our scheduling day which is scheduled for February 7th during the students math classes. Once course selection forms have been completed, they will take a copy home for parents to review and sign. This does not mean that discussions among families have not happened because they should have. Once the form has been signed, they return it to the School Counseling Office so that we can get them to the appropriate high school.

On January 23rd, the 6th and 7th graders will be participating in scheduling. Students will bring home a yellow copy of their scheduling form, which needs to be reviewed, signed, and sent back by January 27th.

The LRMS counseling department is pleased to announce that we have a counseling intern, Mr. Brad Hughes! We are excited to have him with us and look forward to immersing him into our program!

Starting September 26, 2016 any request for a change to a student schedule must be done by completing a Schedule Change form and approved by the LRMS administration. This includes requests to change levels of classes, drop or add new classes and change music classes. NO changes will be made unless the Schedule Change form has been completed and the administration has approved it. Forms are available in the Counseling Office.

The counseling department will not be accepting any more requests for schedule changes starting, September 5, 2016. Request that are dated after Friday, September 2, 2016, will not be considered.

All request for schedule changes must be in writing. Requests to not have a teacher, requests for a teacher, or requests to be with friends, will not be honored. If changes occur, the student will receive a new printed schedule. An email notification will not be sent to parents. Changes will not go into affect the same day of the request.

Certain classes will not be labeled as such and are not able to be changed. Please use the reference below to determine the class your child might be in.  Study=Signet Ind Study (P1AB)=TV Production 8th grade Ind Study (P2AB)=TV Production 7th Grade
